Time Flies!
Oh my, where has the time gone! If you've been following me on Facebook, you'll have a much better idea of all the directions that life has taken the Baxter family. The last few months have introduced: school (both for Kari and Truth), a tremendous growth in the event company, new travels and many wonderful memories. Regretfully, blogging has taken a backseat to life, but I plan to get back on track, starting today! Check in soon for new recipes, craft ideas and great bargains.

Cinco De Mayo!
Cinco De Mayo is one of my favorite days, probably because it is a great excuse to invite friends over for a fun celebration. Check out the "Healthy Cookin" section for a simple and delicious chicken enchilada recipe, as well as a reminder of how to create that perfect margarita. Combine these two with the 3 step guacamole, call some friends, light some candles and put on some salsa music. Feliz Cinco De Mayo!
Check out the garden section for an easy way to create your own upside down tomato planter, that will not only save you money, but add some great color to any deck or patio.

Creating a raised garden bed
Want to create your own garden box? Here is a link to a user friendly/step-by-step guide for making one. We built mine out of cedar, and made it 8 ft by 4ft without a bottom. It cost us $40 in lumber, and gave me plenty of room for a start up garden. Can't wait to hear how yours turn out!

May Day
The months really are flying by! Tomorrow is the first of May, also known as May Day! May Day is celebrated in different traditions all around the world, including International Labours Day. Here at the Baxter house, we are choosing the old fashioned, floral approach, and invite you to do the same! Chose two people, preferably neighbors. Pick flowers out of your garden, or pick up a few from the store. Tie the bouquet with a simple ribbon and a note saying "Happy May Day" and leave them on your neighbor's front porch. You don't know your neighbors? That's an even better reason to chose them! If you have children, they will love picking the flowers, and learn how fun it is to give.
Get ready for Cinco De Mayo with a simple guacamole recipe that calls for only three ingredients, and is sure to please! Check out the recipe page and enjoy!

Why Hello!
Blog #1, here I go! Every morning I wake up with the same question... what can I make today? Whether it's paper crafting, sewing, baking, cooking, gardening or painting. I love projects! I can't even count the number of ideas that have been run past my husband, Adam, before going to bed in our four years of marriage. Everything seems to spark another direction that I want to take my life... so here is my shot at it! My plan is to share these projects with anyone who choses to read, and hopefully, together, we can wake a little creative juices in all of us!
Thanks for joining,
